Description

The crane hook is a crucial component of cranes used for carrying and lifting loads, utilizing equipment such as lifting ropes and jack mechanisms to elevate goods from the ground to the air, enabling aerial transportation. Additionally, hooks are typically equipped with a latch or locking device to prevent accidental detachment of heavy objects.

The manufacturing material for hooks is usually high-strength alloy steel, ensuring they can withstand immense weights and tensile forces. Safety and durability are also key considerations. To guarantee that hooks do not exhibit safety hazards such as deformation, cracks, or fractures during use, the manufacturing process involves rigorous heat treatment, surface treatment, and inspection procedures.

Crane hooks are mainly classified into two categories based on their shape: single hooks and double hooks:

Single hooks: They feature a simple structure, are convenient to manufacture and use, but have relatively inferior stress distribution. They are mostly used in situations requiring less lifting capacity, such as small cranes, light-duty lifting operations, and scenarios where balanced lifting in two directions is not required.

Double hooks: They have two hook bodies that can separately support two heavy objects, with more symmetrical stress distribution, capable of bearing greater weights and impact forces. They are suitable for situations requiring higher lifting capacities or balanced lifting in two directions, such as large cranes, heavy-duty lifting operations, and scenarios where balanced lifting in two directions is necessary.
